When I first bought Shark Steam Mop I must say that I was a little skeptical but now I think I’m in love with this new steam mop. To be honest, I actually bought the first shark steam mop because I was not aware that the new version had come out recently. I decided since I had already bought this version of the mop that I would give it a test run and see how it worked and see if I might be interested in getting the more expensive pocket mop version. I gave the shark mop a test run and was pretty impressed with the results. I decided to research steam mop reviews on the Internet to see what other people have to say.
I found that other people’s reviews pretty much matched my own opinions about the product. The Handle of the original seems very flimsy and the water tank just does not hold enough water. Also, I found that the cord was a little too short for my liking and I had to find multiple plug-ins to be able to clean the entire area. If I were to compare the Shark Steam Mop with the Swiffer Wetjet I would say that the steam mop wins hands down. For example, I have a large amount of hair spray buildup on my floor in the bathroom and had a very difficult time removing it but the Shark Steam Mop was able to remove the hairspray build up with just a few passes. The new pocket version has a triangular attachment that is perfect for getting into small places like around toilets.
Another thing I love about the Shark Steam Mop mom is that it is double-sided so you can just flip to the opposite side when the first side gets dirty. I like the fact that the company seems to have listened to the complaints about their first model and it seemed to incorporate the suggestions into this latest model. The handle is much more sturdy and the tank must hold at least two times the amount of the previous model. I also love that they have made the electric cord much longer so that I don’t have to waste time finding another electrical outlet to plug-in to. Some people who wrote reviews on the Internet seemed to have issues with the mop leaving wetness on their floors. Another complaint I saw was that the mop somehow scratched their wood floor. I have yet to have either of these things happened to me.
If there is a downside to the Shark Steam Mop at mop I would have to say that it would be its high price. The original Shark Steam Mop can now be found in the $70 range and this seems like a much more reasonable price. It seems to me that a lot of people will be put off by the $120 price tag. So far, I really have had no problems with my steam mop. When I get to a really messy area, I just make sure to go over it multiple times and how to handle generously so that the mop can generate the extra steam it needs. All in all, I am very happy with my Shark Steam Mop and I would, without a doubt, recommend the shark pocket mop over the old version.
The first Shark Steam Mop took the world by storm a few years ago. Euro-pro is back with an update to their very popular As Seen On TV mop. They have made a number of improvements of their first steam mop including a longer cord, bigger water tank, and doubled the size of the cleaning surface. The Shark Steam Pocket mop(pocket because the cleaning head is reversible) has had great success so far with many people writing positive reviews for it. However, others have not been so lucky…
